With the new appointment of Executive Chef, Chef Mohd Afifi bin Abu Bakar, Café Jen at Jen Hotel Penang has revamped its buffet dinners to be multi-cuisine range, with some twists in the traditional flavors, infused with global influences. The hotel’s current promotion Sea & Grill Buffet Dinner would be available from 1 November 2019 onward on Fridays and Saturdays, from 6.00pm to 9.30pm. The buffet is priced at RM120nett (adult), RM90nett (senior citizen) and RM60nett (child). Golden Circle members would get an additional 25% savings. To start off, you can check out the appetizer, salad and seafood on ice section with some cheeky yet tasty Amuse Bouche, cold cuts, and various crustaceans of the day, such as snow crab leg, tiger prawns, yabbies, crabs and slipper lobsters.
The main dishes would consist of Malaysia’s all-time favorites as well as some international menus. The highlights would include dished such as Stir-Fried Chilli Crab, Mussel in Nam Heong Style, Oatmeal Butter Prawns, Sotong Sumbat Masak Lemak Cili Api, Slipper Lobster in Rendang Style, Assam Pedas Ekor, Mutton Dalcha Curry, Ayam Goreng Berempah, Sotong Masak Pitong, Barbequed Texas Beef Short Ribs, Braised Lamb Shank Osso Buco, Baked Oysters and more.
The action and carving section can be quite unique as it serves one of the best grills and fritters as well as local street food. Do check out their delicious Whole Baked or Oven Roasted Fish and Slow Roast US Spare Ribs or Leg of Lamb. Some of the street food options would include Nyonya Curry Laksa, Penang Assam Laksa and Mee Kuah Udang.
No buffet is complete without the dessert section to soothe your sweet tooth. Choices would include a wide selection of pastries, ice-cream and tropical fruits. Chocolate lovers can indulge in the milky chocolate fountain with skewers of fruits, marshmallows, and sweet condiments.
